Button Hook Dressing Aids - Parkinsons and Arthritis Aids Buttoneer and Zipper Puller Helper

This product is a must for anyone with arthritis in their hands. Without it I cannot wear a button blouse. It is a fantastic tool.

So easy to use, and the handle feels sturdy to hold. I bought the first one for my 101 year old Mom (102 years on 4/24/21)! Go, Mom!I can’t remember her ever raving...yes, ‘raving’ about how great this works and how much it helps her. Typically when my sister picks up Mom for her appts, buttoning the blouse front and sleeves would be part of the ‘to do’ list. Mom, after years of struggling with buttons after multiple hand surgeries, so appreciates being able to accomplish the task like ‘old times’. Seems crazy that such a basic device (and recently invented, I read) could bring out the joy in managing a task to completion. She now has one on each floor. And still occasionally brings up how GREAT they work!

I have a well used and loved denim jacket that has never been buttoned because the holes are so stiff. My alternate cold weather coat died from heavy use. Thinking that there must be some way of helping to get the denim jacket buttoned, I remembered reading about the button hooks that women used on their shoes before 1900. I tried the hook in my pocket knife. There is a brass stem on the button too large for the knife hook. Amazon was the next place to try as it is the meeting place for finding solutions.There are still button hooks. It works great and saves my fingers.

My father is in books late 70s and wears denim jackets and jeans. Arthritis has taken is toll so I go got this to make things easier for him. It is sturdy and easy to use on shirts bid the denim is a challenge. It is difficult to get through the button holes and pulling the button back through is hard to get it in the right position. Her ideas it for his shirts and suits but unable to do his denim to my dismay.

I just love this product. I buy them and give them to my patients. A lot of folks have no idea that a product like this exist. So when I see a gentleman with a button shirt I can't wait to show it off. Then when they ask where I got it. I just smile and give it to them. Makes me feel good to be able to help. And to see that smile on their faces.

My Mom would be brought to tears from not being able to button her own clothes because of arthritis in her hands. After I gave her this Button Hook she is able to get dressed all my herself, including buttoning all her buttons, with no problem. It has helped restore a bit of her self esteem by removing the embarrassment of having someone help her get dressed.

I actually had this exact same product for almost a decade before it broke. Between that and a dressing stick, even as a functional quadriplegic I was able to dress myself almost all days with anything including and up to real jeans.It's an excellent tool for someone with poor dexterity, poor grip, etc. I carry one in my wheelchair bag for when I have to use the restroom and I have one at home.

This looked like a good idea when I bought it, but it is about useless for buttoning denim jeans! I nearly completely destroyed it & spent 15 minutes fighting with it invorder to fasten my jeans button. The zipper hook was too big to fit thru the zipper pull so was basically useless.My jeans are Lee brand so the button & zipper are pretty standard
