Electrolux 242270101 Module

The spring had failed on the original unit and this is a perfect replacement for my Frigidaire model FGHS2665PF2 refrigerator. The replacement was super easy as there are only six screws and the wiring harness to undo.The original part had two wires coming from the large harness. Once I realized that they went to a dead end I ignored the fact that the new one didn't have the two wires and simply went ahead with the replacement. Everything is working fine and the whole process took less than 15 minutes (probably less than 10). The most difficult part was undoing and then redoing the water line. This is a pretty easy replacement.

Easy to install, watched a youtube video from Frigidaire. Followed the steps. Saved a lot of money from appliance repair.

This part fit my Frigidaire Gallery fridge perfectly. The only thing different was that there was a wire that did not hook up to the new part. I’m not sure what it is for but seems to make no difference. I thought it may be a light but the lights appear to still work fine.
