Used to cut through one acre of two foot oak bushes. Pushing it to it's limit but it toughed it through.

no electric start and not adaptable for one no ring gear

The media could not be loaded.  I use this machine like a rough cutter to clear my trails and overgrown fields. Definitely not ideal but it gets the job done. I have scalped the ground hundreds of times, burnt up 5 belts, stalled the engine on 8 foot tall swamp grass, bent the metal deck, and run over 3" diameter aspen trees over the past 4 years but it still runs great.At max height of 4.5", it has no problem going 5mph while cutting thick grass up to 12" tall or 3' weeds and light prairie grass. You have to slow down to about 2 mph on anything taller than this. If the grass gets to be taller than 4', you need to go slower than 1 mph and start/stop every foot or so to give the mower time to discharge the clippings. This is hard on ATVs because they start to overheat when going so slow.After 4 years of abuse, I have retired this mower from rough cutting and only use it to mow my yard/lawn. After sharpening the blades, it works just like new. Much faster than a riding lawn-mower but not quite as maneuverable.
