EXERZ 30CM World Globe - Stainless Steel Ring Standing, Perfect for Gifting - Metallic Silver

The media could not be loaded.  As you can see from my video, I’m really impressed with this globe at its price point for what it has to offer.As you can see from my photos, it stands well on my IKEA( BILLY) bookcase.What I like:•Sturdy feel and quality to it.• Metallic colour gives it a modern look which is suited for aesthetics in an office or bedroom.• A lot of information on it despite it being 25cm in diameter.• Big enough for display , yet small enough to fit neatly in the SpAcE of a book shelve.•Sturdy non slip base to hold the globe.What I don’t like:• It attracts dust which is visible, but that has nothing to do with the product. That is just the nature of this material. A 2 second job with a microfibre cloth does the trick.Update: I was about to throw the box away and discovered it also acts like a traveling case with hidden handles that can be folded for use when commuting. A very nice and convenient way to move this globe safely from place to place. I’ve added some photos.

Bought this for myself as i'm pretty ignorant of where places are in the world although still probably no more ignorant than the next person and i thought it would be nice to examine while i'm waiting around for something or other.I've read some bad reviews of some globes where the two hemispheres aren't correctly aligned. This does not appear to be an issue here as the two halves seem to be 1mm or so out which is only noticeable when you look for it on certain continents. The surface is glossy enough that reflections of objects in the background can be made out, especially across large bodies of water. The water does give off a nice metallic sheen when exposed to light which helps it contrast nicely with the land masses.One measurement i think is important which is missed from the description is the height(unless i missed it). Its hard to accurately measure due to its shape but it appears to be 32cm. Ideally i'd have preferred something a bit smaller however the detail is hard to make out on some of the smaller countries(not due to the quality of the print, which is fine) so overall it's probably not worth considering something smaller than this. Some european countries are not labelled directly on the continent as there is not enough room and instead are numbered and associated with a list of counties in the Atlantic OceanA few minor niggles:- There is a rotating dial at the top to calculate times in different regions of the world. This isn't something I would use but it does not rotate across the centre of the globes axis as the piece appears to have a cutout at its centre which is slightly too big for the rod it spins on. It still appears to be centrally aligned, it's only when you rotate it that it becomes obvious that it isn't so.- There is a slight raised area on the join between the two hemispheres although its only noticeable when you run your hand across it. Honestly i was expecting something like this so its barely worth mentioning and I can't make this out at all when looking at the globe- The globe is not weighted perfectly/axis is not stiff enough so that it will rest wherever it is moved. It spins quite freely but as some segments weigh more than others, it will revert back to its resting position, which seems to be the west coast of Africa or the opposite side of the globe when looking at it from the front. Again a very minor observation

A modern globe was my grandson's request for a Birthday just prior to Christmas. I am sure he will be delighted. The stand is unusual but I dropped just one star as I thought it could have been just a tad weightier. I contacted the seller as some reviews mentioned about rattling noise inside globe and loose base. I had an instant reply that they would ask warehouse to check it over. It arrived very well packaged in its own box within a box. No rattling noise and stand is firmly attached. If base had been a bit heavier I would have willingly given it 5*. Would recommend this item.

Purchased as a present for my husband's birthday. Fits in well with decor of lounge. He keeps it on side table next to settee so he can look at it during the TV ads!!!!! Very well made, looks much more expensive than it was, really lovely.

Globe arrived quickly and safely, it depends what you want it for it looks great on a desk, I could read the writing on the silver land areas easily but could not read the black writing on the blue sea even with a torch and magnifier. I have kept it as I love the look as an ornament but this makes it very expensive.

I got this as a gift for my 5yo niece as I thought it fun and educational. I’m pleased to say she really likes it and loves the blue and silver. Even thought it’s not expensive the finish was very nice, with deep rich colours and fine sharp text. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a nice globe that tops up your geography skills and looks great as an ornament.

I love this and it is in pride of place. it has a lot more information on it than I expected, I have bought a magnifying glass for the very small print.
