Platinum Instant Sourdough Yeast - 5 Packets

I really like using these. It arrived nicely packaged and the expiration date is up in September of this year. I am sure it will all be used by then. This stuff is great, and if you follow the instructions correctly and a hint more of regular rapid rise yeast to your mix, it will come out great! I used about 1/2 tsp. to this mix and my loaf came out tasty and larger than my previous loaf with out adding to this. Try it, it helps! I will definitely buy more of these when needed! I don’t know what happened to this yeast, but the bread didn’t rise like it’s supposed to. I got a bad batch. I have bought this product with no problems up to now.

Sour bread taste and flavor without all the work. Just add it to your recipe Just like yeast. So fas so easy. I wish it was in a Jat so I can add more for a more intense flavor.

The packets I got seem to all be dead. I tried to bloom it in warm water and none of them bubbled at all. Bummer.

We have killed a lot of sourdough starters. it's ok. i can admit it. thing is, you get busy, then you forget to feed the stuff and suddenly it is turning green. from that point, you can do things the old fashioned way. get a little wheat/rye flour, mix it with some regular flour and water, then feed it every day for at least a week and hope things work out. for some reason, they never seem to work out for us though. hence, this stuff.open packet, pour in with flour and water. use it. keep it fed. good from day one. sometimes we will go so far as to throw a little of our kombucha culture in with it to change the flavor, but that is strictly optional. the biggest deal is how easy it is to use this stuff. now, when we forget to feed our starter and kill it, yet again, we know what to do. since buying this multipack we have only needed on packet, but it is shelf stable so no worries. no need to feed starter for one to three months so it is mature enough to freeze. this is really great for people with other things to worry about in their lives.
