Lonely Planet Best Day Walks Great Britain (Hiking Guide)

This book was very well laid out and easy to follow. We have already discovered some new walks that are nearby that we didn't know existed. Really clear instructions and useful directions to help you find the start and keep you on track.

Bought as a gift. Recipient was really pleased with it. I was tempted to ask to borrow it and have a look but that would be cheeky wouldn't it

POSITIVES:I thought the book offered a good selection of walks across the country.Well laid out by region, with a regional overview map locating the walks.Good colour photos to give some indication of walk. Small map with corresponding bullet points with text directions.NEGATIVES:Map could be bigger (some photos are a full page, while the walk map is about 1/4).The book itself is very wide, I wouldn't take it along on a walk.

Detailed instructions and very clear maps

Brought for a friend for their birthday but was such a great book I brought a copy for myself too. Great location photos and the book is divided into areas which is very handy. Great book if you're looking for inspiration for your next hiking/walking trip

Gift for a walker, he seemed to appreciate it and I thought it looked good for beginners to show different walks and the difficulty levels, and grouped together by region. I bought another book similar and this one had different walk options so that was nice!

Great gift for the outdoors person

The guides in here are great, they give approx time, difficulty, insights to area and perfect for planning weekend breaks!Physically, it did arrive a little damaged in the corner I assume in transit as it came in quite thin packaging from Amazon (with another hardback book). But as is paperback kind of inevitable so still 5*
