Very good heater, cost efficient and designed with human use in mind.
I have used a cheap little shin height halogen heater for years and thought it's time to try something new. (halogen light hurts my eyes and only 1 bulb was still working, most of you probably know the kind of heater I mean)THIS 1kw carbon element heater is SO MUCH BETTER!It is very low noise, beyond the odd click and creak as the heated parts expand, it's fair to say it is silent. The oscillation has a minor ticking noise associated, no more or less than you would be familiar with.At the level "low" it draws about 475W (smart meter estimated reading) and puts out enough heat to rival 2bars on a halogen (honest opinion, as it covers a larger area)On the level "high" the heat is STRONG and draws about 975W, you can sit on your lounge sofa, a good 1.5 meters away from this heater and get a full body heat applied.I mostly keep mine on "Low" and never feel the need to increase power.Because....The design is a huge positive!!! not only does it look nice and sleek, the element is mounted vertically and covers a full 45cm (18") of heated space (full cover on both "low" and "high")As mentioned, halogen bulb light hurts my eyes, this does not have such an effect. like any light source, don't look directly at it.. but having it facing you isn't going to cause eye discomfort as far as I noticed.(If you're shoving your face up close, you only have yourself to blame for any baked eyeball sensations)It is light and well balanced, with an easy to hold handle on the back if you need to move while still hot.Has a safety cut off that trips when lifted or tilted.Oscillation feature is handy to span ~70⁰ of space (as you would expect, it heats best what it is directly facing)On top of it being a great product, the manufacture offers an extended 2yr warranty when registered. Will update review should I ever need to use.So I highly recommend as a low cost heater.

Good value effective heater
This is a really effective heater particularly over smallish areas. I wouldn't use it to heat a whole lounge say. The heat is immediate especially on high setting and usually needs putting on low soon after. I now have 3 of these: office, small bedroom, corner of lounge and they are excellent and inexpensive esp on low setting. I rarely use the rotate function. They are about £40 (look around) and the first two I bought have now been running without problems for 2 years. They have a safety cutout and are easy to setup. Good product.

Lots of heat, quickly.
The main thing to know about this is that it's not a room heater, it's a *person* heater. If you want to get warm, right now, this is perfect. Switch it on and you'll be happy within seconds. Yes, given enough time it'll raise the overall room temperature by a few degrees as well, but that's not what infra-red heaters are for. They heat objects - people - and they do it very effectively. You need to be fairly close to the heater to feel its heat, maybe 3-6ft, but that's how infra-red heating works so it's not a criticism of this heater. You can use the heater with or without oscillation. Oscillation is very quiet and wouldn't be intrusive if, say, you were watching the TV and the heater was on next to you.Good points:Easy to assembleVery light weight, so it's easy to carry or move to a different roomGoes from zero to toasty heat very quickly.Only a couple of settings to change, it isn't complicated. You can have "high" or "low" heat, each with or without oscillation. Easy and effective. Not good points, though not actually bad:Build quality feels quite flimsy and the heater is a bit wobbly on its base, not unstable though.Because it's a bit wobbly, you really need to use two hands to easily change the settings dial .Mains cord length is quite short.Although it heats up very quickly, it cools down quickly too when you switch it off. Unlike a portable, oil-filled radiator, there's no residual heat after the power is removed.Given the price (under £40), the good points outweigh the bad ones though, and it's worth four stars.

Energy Efficient, Works well
This is very nice and energy efficient, writing it after using this for 3 months.it has very little not noticeable noise. You feel instant warm when you come home from very cold and you just sit near it. It also works well in bigger area like king size room. it has two heat setting high(1000w)and low(500w)and also has rotational setting. it's somewhat bigger than other electric one so not that light in weight but manageable. Also it's big and take some space, but it's safe and is very bright.

AI summary is pretty accurate
Customers like the heat output, value for money, and effectiveness of the space heater. They mention it provides instant heat, is cheap to run, and does a great job. Some are satisfied with the weight and design. However, some customers have reported that the build quality is flimsy on the baseI am happy with the quality and repurchase.

Great quality for the price
This heater is wonderful and pumps out a good amount of heat, even on it's lower setting 500 watts. Economical energy saving. It warms you rather than the room but that suits just fine, I elevate it higher up and it's like being in the sun. Thank you for the reviewer who mentioned to remove the screws first on the base. Managed to set it up by my myself. Recommend this heater for people who need more affordable ways to warm themselves

Good performance but
The media could not be loaded. Very good performance. Feels like burning your skin if too close to it. Good heating range. But doesn’t help with the warming of whole room. Will only heat up things in front of it. No noise without rotation. Very very little noise when rotating. Current consumption in low setting.

Faulty piece
Dial is faulty the heater did not do what it should be. Keeps oscillating and while ‘off’ still keeps turning and emitting a hum.
