NO, That is a specific type of leafing made by Decofoil and called transfer gold sheeting

I have not tried it on feathers - but if you have a spare feather - give it a go! Whatever you get the adhesive sizing on is what the gold leaf will stick to - then you will want to consider sealing the gold leaf after application. Not sure if an earnest gold spray paint might not be a better consideration for a feather/feathers.

Q: Can I use regular tacky glue? I thought the glue was included.

Well that is a brilliant question! I never thought of it. To be honest I am not 100% sure if you can or not - I guess it would depend on what you were doing. I bought enough gold leaf sheets to make sure I was going to cover my projects and then some extra. If you have extra, try it on something fairly small to see how it goes is the only thing I could suggest. The glue (aka adhesive size or sizing) made for gold leafing is unlike any other glue that I am aware of. You paint it on the area you want the gold leaf to adhere to - and NO WHERE ELSE! Because where you paint it, the gold leaf will adhere. It takes only a few minutes for the glue to 'set up'. It will feel a bit 'tacky' and that is its perfect state for applying the gold leaf. It will stay 'tacky' indefinitely (as in days, weeks and months) - until something lands on it, even dust. Once something lands on it, it has done its job. Just so you know, after you have finished gold leafing you will need to apply a sealant, because the gold leaf can be scratched so very easily . You can use the product that they make and suggest for the Mona Lisa gold leaf - but I have found I could use Mod Podge - just make sure you get a Mod Podge with the finish you want - such as I got Mod Podge Super Gloss Spray - and was delighted with the outcome.
