Works flawless

If you have 2.0 usb headers on your motherboard that do not work, this is what you use as a work around. B550 mobos have issues with usbs as well probably just the 2.0 usbs so I plugged mine into a 3.0 and I don’t get disconnects either.

Seems good

I ended up not using it but I did test it and it works as expected. Cable quality seems good but I can't attest to durability or long term use.

Great upgrade

Quality product. Allows one to plug in SD Card readers or other accessories into a standard USB 2 or 3 port if there are not enough USB headers on your motherboard.

a cord is a cord

It's exactly what it says and does what it's supposed to. There's really not a lot to be said about cords and cables, they are/aren't. This just so happens to be one of the more unusual wiring solution components I've bought so far, assembling a WWAN/LTE set up for a little portable rig I've built.

Works great

Allowed me to connect my internal WiFi/USB Bluetooth card to a rear panel USB port.

Worked to wire a wifi/bluetooth card in a Dell XPS 8930

I don't get these OEM's who insist on straying from standards and don't include the usual headers on the motherboard, but whatever... it is what it is.Case in point, the Dell XPS 8930 I use for a HTPC. I added a wifi/bluetooth PCI card and although wifi goes over the PCI bus, the bluetooth needs USB and expects to use a header on the motherboard. Well drat, Dell doesn't add those in usually. This thing came to the rescue... it's goofy to have to route the USB cable out of the case and into one of the rear ports, but it works, and now I have WAY more reliable bluetooth than the flaky one included on the computer (it has a habit of "disappearing" for no reason until you remove power for a few minutes...known issue on this Dell model). So, if you need an internal USB header but don't have one, this will do the trick.

Great if you don't have a F-USB 9-pin header on your motherboard and you have a card that needs one

Bought a Wi-Fi / Bluetooth PCI-E card for a powerful mini-workstation because I was too far from a wired networking. The Bluetooth on the card requires a USB connection as the means for passing data into the PC. The PC didn't have an internal F-USB header but had plenty of external USB ports. This little cable did the trick threaded through a vent hole in the back. Much easier than buying a PCI-E to USB header card.

Did not work at all

I ordered this to attach an external 2.5" card reader to a SFF build externally. It did not work, I'm not sure if this is a passive connection or how it can go from 2x USB connections on the 9 pin to 1x on the USB type A side. It seemed kind of odd but there were a lot of good reviews. After plugging in my card reader, the USB port on it had power enough to light up the LED on a flash drive. The flash drive itself was not readable. Plugging the flash drive into the same port on my PC, it worked fine. Plugging a SD Card into the card reader and nothing.I'm not sure if the adapter I received was just defective or if it is something else. I'll be returning this for a refund and just purchasing an external USB card reader.
