Q: Will this charge all types of batteries (not just ebl)?

Acording to the description it can "charger 8 pieces of AA/AAA Ni-MH batteries or 4 pieces of C/D Ni-MH batteries freely." It also states it can charge Ni-cd batteries. It doesn't matter the branding of the battery, as long as they are Ni-MH, or Ni-CD RECHARGABLE batteries. This does NOT charge lithium batteries.

Q: Is it normal to take >3 days to fully charge 6d size batteries? it is an ac charger, not usb...why is it taking so long?

I have experienced the same thing. They seem to be good chargers, but much slower than rated. The specs say they charge C’s and D’s at 1800 milliamperes. It appears that the 1800 rating gets divided between the 6 cells. This would only provide a charge current of 300 milliamperes per cell. This would explain the 2 to 3 day charge time for 10000 milliampere D cells. My chargers take about 48 hours, which makes this calculation about right. Good chargers, just very slow. I have not yet tried charging less cells than 6. Maybe it would charge faster if only 2 cells were inserted, although this defeats the purpose of having six charging slots.

Q: Will this charge 6 D batteries at the same time?

Yes it will but I have six D batteries and after an overnight charge ( I put in one) it is now full. Now three more D alone have been at it 16 hours and still at level 2 (of 3) for full charge.

Q: Will this charge lir123a batteries

No. As stated in the item description, it only works with AA, AAA, C, and D batteries.
