My husband had a stroke almost 7 years ago and uses this during PT as it doesn't cut into his ribs like the traditional gait belt. His therapist even like how many handles it offers when he is walking an needs a second helper then they are not both trying to hold on in the same place or pulling the belt so the other doesn't have a good hold position.

Great belt for use when a loved one is walking and you are along side of them holding on. There are several handles in which you can hold on to. I also use it on my mom when we are at the gym. I can easily take her on and off any of the exercise machines without having any worries. The belt is also good when she goes to sit down on a chair or the bed. I can hold onto whichever handle/handles best fits the situation. My mom says the belt is very comfortable to wear, which is a definite plus. The belt is made really well and is going to last a long time. This is a great tool to help in keeping your loved one safe in any situation.

The grips are in good places, but the material was too slick on the inside and made it slippery. We had to synch it up like a chastity girdle to not ride up.

Love that they have hoops every angle of the belt. It helps so much!

This is wonderful. Using it with my mom, after a stroke to help her walk. There are cheaper gait belts available, but this one has handles, which is a game changer. There are handles for the sides or for the back. Highly recommend!

Great design with one annoying flaw. The "dense nylon webbing" is quite slick. The teeth of the buckle don't grab the nylon well. The belt always slips looser. And, I don't mean when the person changes position and the belt needs to be tightened because it has shifted to a narrower part of their body. The belt will just slip looser with every assisted transfer. I have to re-tighten it every single time, while the person is seated, and the belt is at the same point on the waist. This adds a lot of time to a transfer that is 6 separate movements. I plan to buy a regular transfer belt canvas material, and modify this belt so that the teeth actually dig in and grip. The rest of the belt is great. I love the wider style, added padding, and padded handles. I just wish the waistband was made from the standard gait belt webbing.
