I absolutely love these! These little flashlights are perfect for so many uses. For me, I have a variety of places where I need a light that's easy to grab and easy to use. I bought one pack of two, and I'll be buying at least another one! Each light uses three AAA batteries. You can pull on part of the light and change the light from wide to narrow focus. The lights are bright (I don't know how they compare to traditional flashlights, but they seem quite bright to me, and as bright as others I have or had, plus the convenience factor!)Right now, I have one on my desk, one by the bed. Handy at night when I'm looking for something and don't want to turn on full lights. I plan on getting some (command) hooks and hanging these so they always have a home. Just a week ago, our power went out during a storm, and even though I say I'm going to have emergency lights in ONE SPOT, I never do. They get moved around. With a hook (there's a little strap on each light), I can always put them back. I plan to get another one for the kitchen (sometimes that tiny print on box mixes is too tiny for me, and these lights are perfect for lighting up the text) and one more in a central spot. Next power outage, I hope to be able to know exactly where my lights are.Have I said I love these lights? The price of a two pack of these mitigates some of the dislikes depending upon your intended use. I would not attempt to use these in dangerous situations. The 5 modes mentioned are Fast blink, slow blink and 3 brightness modes... two of which are hard to notice. You can shrink or expand the light focus by pushing or pulling the lens end of the light. The smallest is a rectangle the rest are circular. For use around the house these work well, they aren't bright enough for field/security work and you might get one of the other modes whether you want it or not.If your life depends upon a light, pay more get more. But overall for most people in normal use environments, these lights will work adequately. Did I mention the great pricing? Longevity? Don't know yet. I will likely buy more for general use in my vehicles etc.
