The camera system is so much better than the systems I have had in the past. Easy to set up, great picture clarity, and a LOT of options in the programming to be able to tweak the system to my liking.A little after 2 months of use, the system suddenly "lost" the hard drive. I tried reseating the cables to the main board, and it still did not pick it up. I swapped in an old drive I had and the system saw it and formated it with no problem. I contacted the Customer Support folks and explained what had happened, and they had me go through a couple of steps to troubleshoot the issue. After a few days (back and forth over email, with a major time difference to deal with) they agreed that the drive was dead. They sent a link to their preferred drive and had me purchase it through Amazon, and immediately sent me the total price as a refund.

Both my brothers have this system when I seen how crystal clear the video is I had to have one too. It’s easy to install easy to use I have the wireless and the cameras plug into an outlet. The picture is crystal clear and the sound works great too and if you’re not sure of something or not tech savvy call customer service and a technician will get right back to you and walk you through it. They make it so easy, thank you Nacho for the great service! I highly recommend this system for its great performance and great price.

This system replaced my aging wired system that lost all but 2 of its 8 cameras due to connection problems over the years. This system was installed less than a week ago so while I can’t speak of durability I can say it was very easy to set up and the picture quality is great. Night vision is also quite good. Playback features are also very good with up to 8x fast forward speed. Cameras appear to be robustly built and should last quite a while. So far so good!

Easy set up and work great!

I purchased this camera system on November 15, 2023 and it no longer recognizes the hard drive October 10, 2024. Not even a year old and it no longer records.

Tested all 8 cameras indoors and all worked fine. I spray painted a few cameras to hide them in my yard. Spent 7 hours routing and hooking up all 8 of the 5 megapixel cameras. After a few hours outdoors, 1 camera has now developed moisture inside of the camera lens and you can not clearly see much, view on monitor is very blurry. It was 98 degrees and humid in this Oklahoma weather. Unbelievable that the camera is not sealed. VERY DISAPPOINTED and I would not recommend Smonet security cameras.

This is a good equipment for my office, excellent quality in images, sound and resolution, if you're looking for a good security system at good price

Smonet tech support is outstanding!! The hard drive in my new Smonet NVR was defective and running hot. Smonet gave me an Amazon Gift Card to order a replacement hard drive over night. I have been a very happy and returning Smonet customer on their different products. With their past support, I will be a Smonet customer for life. They are great!!
