Low quality fittings making it hard to adjust

Thought this would be a good idea to make mounting my hinges easier. Turns out its more a pain in the backside than it's worth. Firstly you need to put your router into the slot to set the guide rails to the correct position. Problem is that once the router is in place you can't see anything. You have a small gap below to try and see your markings to line up the router bit and then adjust the rails. Secondly the rails have far to much play in them. They don't adjust level so you setup one end and then have to try and adjust the other end without buggering up the first end. I ended up tossing it out of the window and doing it by hand. Good idea, poor design, cheap materials. Pity I've just missed the cut off for returning so will end up in landfill.

Don't know what you can use it for but it's not for hinges or lock mortice. Seen others said it's ok. And the bit is useless too, doesn't have a bearing so you have to free hand it. If i have to free handed why would i use this? Rubbish.
