Everyone loves this game. Adapted for middle school interventions.

More of an educational activity than a game
Well thought out but not much of a true game. It’s a great activity for building vocabulary if your kids are into that kind of thing.

Makes learning new vocabulary fun and memorable!
I bought this game for our family after my daughter saw it at a homeschool convention and asked me to get it. Both of my kids were hooked after one time of playing and now ask to play it regularly. It’s still a bit over the head of my just turned-7-year-old, but that doesn’t keep him from wanting to play, and I like that it’s something that he can “grow into”. My 10-year old does beautifully with it though, so I would agree with the “Ages 8+” recommendation on the box. It’s a fun (and often funny) way to introduce new vocabulary and get your kids to use it. I appreciate the 3-tiered leveling of the cards, because it allows players of different ages and ability levels to play together. I enjoy playing it as an adult and find it challenging too, and I think that it would be a fun “ice breaker” for a teen group (or even at a dinner party with other game-loving adults) as a way to get the conversation started and keep it going!Down the road I would love to see the game’s creator make some additional “menu” (question) cards and “appetizer/entree/dessert” (vocabulary) cards that could be purchased separately as an optional add in, because if you play the game often enough the words will get repeated. But on the other hand, that’s not a bad thing, since the more often you hear the words and use them, the more your vocabulary will grow, and the more likely the words will make their way into your daily conversation!

Simple, short, deep
The game is super simple - so simple, in fact, that the instructions fit on one slender card - pick a prompt from a prompt group card, pick five word cards, and use all five words in a sentence, a paragraph, however long you want to talk. I bought this as an education tool first and foremost so that my daughter could practice composing sentences. I was a bit worried that she might find it to be a boring educational exercise, but thankfully, she has enjoyed it quite a bit. I can see that this new style of game is a bit challenging to her now, but the most important and helpful thing is that she is having fun with it (which means the skill will follow naturally over time) telling silly stories (her favorite prompt is the "something outrageous" one).I have also found this game to be something of a time for personal reflection as well. There are quite a few personal prompts like "tell about a time when you were in an awkward situation", "tell about your dream vacation", and "tell about a quality in a person you admire". While my daughter tries to come up with the silliest things she can think of, I found myself giving these (sometimes uncomfortable) prompts some serious thought. I don't know that I would ever think to talk about these things with my daughter on my own, but this game has opened up an opportunity to share something meaningful with my daughter (and maybe someday, she will reciprocate). I'm not sure how many friends/neighbors I'll play this with, but this is quickly becoming a staple of my family. Simple, short, deep. This is a game every family would benefit from having. 5/5.

SO MUCH LAUGHTER!
My family loves this game! Creating sentences using the various words encourages silliness in my kids, but they are learning vocabulary and how to apply it in life in the process. We never fail to laugh until we cry when we play this game.As a reading specialist, I am always looking for engaging ways to help my students increase their vocabulary usage and comprehension. This game knocks it out of the park!

Great Enrichment Activity
The vocabulary words were on grade level. I teach high schoolers I just think my kids felt awkward playing them. I will continue to use so that the words become sort of their daily or academic vocabulary.
