I previously had a holder for my phone in my car that was suction but the holder was just a sticky substance. That lasted only a year and I needed to look for something that would protect my phone and I wouldn't have to depend on how sticky the back was in a cold car. My only complaint is that with the case on my Samsung Galaxy S9+ I have to squeeze the holder firmly to get it to hold the phone, but it does. I feel that it could hold it a bit tighter but I've not had any times that the phone came out of the holder. I can hear perfectly through the phone speakers when it is in the holder. It was easy to set up and I think without the middle stabilization part, the phone would vibrate and jiggle as I drove. Once you get that middle part set up perfectly the phone is very stable from movement.

The problem with these mounts is the suction cup and the ability to maintain sufficient elasticity and thus SUCTION over time. Once the cup begins to dry out .. in about a year .. they lose suction and fall onto the dash when you may least expect it. Therefore I cannot grade on durability at this time. As far as the mount itself; when locked in place the wings do hold the phone very steadily. However, when I remove my phone, the mounting bracket rattles as I drive and I must re-lock the wings to stop the rattle. Another issue I have is the bottom shelf on the mounting bracket. The shelf is too narrow for my iPhone 5 when in its Otterbox case. I like the idea of a support arm at the elbow of the mounting arm. This support will reduce the tourque placed upon the suction cup and hopefully prolong the life of the item. On balance a pretty good item given the price point.

The media could not be loaded.  So far, I think this is an excellent phone mount. However, I noted some reviews there that said the suction cup doesn't hold up over time. I will let you know. My last mount was the Ottie. It also got great reviews but THAT one didn't hold up. The mount had no rubber on it so the phone would fall out with every bump and the locking screw on the back broke. It also was somewhat obstructing to view.This mount is pretty neat. The arm is flexible and has a very low profile. The phone is much lower so I have a better view through the windshield. There is a small supporting disk which snaps on. I have found there is no need to use the sticky on the bottom so no marks on the dash. There is some very slight vibration but the closer you can mount the support, the less noticeable it is. Holds the phone nicely and I like the release button on the back (see video). If this holds up over time, it is MUCH better than my last Ottie.

I have a Dodge Dakota, so the windshield and dashboard are long. The length of this mount is very good, the material and construction are very sturdy. Also, the grip it has on my iPhone-7 is tight. It allows for hands free access to the phone's accessories such as Bluetooth, and Georgia just implemented a hands free law. This mount takes care of that. It vibrates occasionally on rough terrain, but the dashboard cradle that comes with the mount helps. Overall I am very satisfied and will be buying this for gifts.

So far I like it. But, I really do wish that the bottom and the sides extended out further because my phone just barely fits in it while the case is on. I really do like the quick release, the strong stiff arm and the extra support piece. I hope they will make a version that will accommodate thicker phones with cases.

the foam part on the arms that holds the sides of the phone needs to be thicker. you really have to squeeze it. to get a tight fit . other than that it's great

Well, it lasted 13 months before it broke apart. I think it should have lasted longer but being the first one I've ever purchased I'm really not sure. It did work really well until today. The neck portion was nicer and stiff and the support base did a great job keeping it from bouncing while driving.

Works great had to modify it a little bit so my aux cord would work.

Cradle arms open wider than most phone holders. My phone in its case, easily fits into the cradle.Post stabilizes the arm when fixed to the windscreen glass. Strong spring clings well to glass each time moved to a different vehicle.

defective, suction cup didn't stick on any surface. Returned.
