There is also a manual button, but it wont get much use from me. It’s not too loud and the motion detection seems to work flawlessly.Pros:The automatic opening mechanism is a game-makes throwing away trash effortless.Design is stylish and fits well with my bathroom decor. It has a nice modern look that doesn’t feel out of place.The size is just right for my bathroom, and I don’t have to empty it as often as I did with my old trash can.**Cons**:The only drawback is that the battery compartment is located inside the trash can. I bought the trash bin as it was advertised with features most motion sensor trash cans don't have: kick activation, knee activation, adjustable hand motion distance (see pictures shown with the product). When reading the manual, nothing of that was mentioned. I checked the trash can, no kick activation/motion, no adjustable hand motion distance. if you put your knee very close to the sensor, of course it will open (like every other trash can with motion sensor).Over all, the build is solid, does fit in the space I needed it. Will not return it, just thought people should know.Dear Seller, please correct the advertisement or send me the model that has those features.
