Q: can it be used on single pane glassed in shower stationary panes and shower door?

This model may be too strong for single pane glass. There are other models with less powerful magnets. I would not recommend this item to clean a window that you have access to both sides. I did find it very effective when cleaning my apartment windows on the 19th floor, where I had no ability to reach most of the outside window pane.

Q: How do you take it off the window?

You basically pry the two halves apart - twisting one and holding the other in place. These are designed for windows with different thickness (i.e. single pane, double pane etc) so if the distance between your inside and outside pane of glass is less than the distance the specific version is recommended for, it can be hard to separate the two parts.

Q: What kind of cleaner do you use with this tool?

Any normal window cleaner. When you use it it is best to moisten the pads thoroughly both sides. Otherwise it doesn't move smoothly and can fall off.
