I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered this umbrella. I recently purchased a concrete rolling umbrella stand from the Bullseye Store, and this umbrella fits into the stand using the adapter. The umbrella shaft is metal, but I’m concerned that the metal is a bit thinner than I would like for the price. On 4/16, the price was $165.53, and by 4/23/25, it had already increased to $209 – so, keep an eye on the fluctuations. I have to be careful not to cinch the umbrella stand screws too tightly because I think they might pierce the shaft. The other thing that surprised me was that the finial and handle assembly are made of plastic. So, don’t crank too vigorously!As I mentioned, this umbrella is HUGE, and the box it ships in is equally large. The umbrella was padded on both ends of the box to protect it, and comes wrapped in plastic. Before fully opening the umbrella, you’ll need to slot the ribs into the pockets and fluff and smooth out the fringe and fabric. I plan to leave the umbrella outside, so I hope to find a cover to protect it from the elements, so it will last longer. Overall, it’s a really lovely piece that I hope to enjoy for years to come.I deducted one star for the questionable thickness of the metal shaft and the use of plastic in the handle assembly, which is the most fragile part of the umbrella, as it will experience the most wear and tear.This review is for ASIN: B0DCPB6M49JONATHAN Y UMB1001H Collins 9 ft.
