Good socks

I've bought these socks for years to wear with my curling shoes. Ordinary socks end up sliding down into the shoe. They do shrink so wash on a cool setting and this latest pair seems quite small for a large . They fit me and fit my husband perfectly but I'm a 6.5 and he's 8.5. I'm sure they'd stretch if you had bigger feet, but maybe go a size larger than stated?

The sizing of these seems completely wrong. If your at the upper end of the sizing you’ll probably need the next size up.

I've had some of these socks in the past and worn them whilst backpacking. Whilst I did initially get slightly tender spots on the backs of my heels I did not develop blisters and the tenderness went away quickly enough.I actually managed to lose my previous 1000 mile socks during a house move but they still had plenty of life left in them. I've bought just one pair to replace them and now I know they're still as good as the old ones I'll replace all the pairs I lost.Just one thing to note: I have UK size 15 feet and whilst I can get the socks around my feet comfortably they are a tad tight around my ankles so I wear them pushed down to the tops of my boots.

Definitely order a size bigger as these really shrink in the wash.

I bought these socks to wear with walking boots, as I do a lot of long dog walks. I read the other reviewer's comments about how small made the socks are and I did order up a larger size. How right he was, the socks are very small made. I am usually a size 7, but ordered the 9-11.5 size and they just fit.I have worn them every day and hand washed them every night for the last 4 days. So far no shrinkage. Very warm without being bulky. Comfortable to wear, no wrinkling of the inner sock, just a bit short in length for my taste. However this wont stop me ordering another pair.
