ColdPrufMen's Enthusiast Single Layer Bottom, Black, Large Tall

Nicely made and perfect (tall) fit; price is reasonable compared with other similar products. Ordered April 4, 2022. Shipped April 6, USPS, and could not be tracked. No resolution by Amazon or Coldpruf for gone missing long johns or for a refund, as best we can remember (6 months later). Yesterday, Oct 13, 2022, long johns arrived. Not sure who's fault delay was. In hundreds of USPS shipments, they have never lost an item, or been more than a few days late. Maybe they've been riding in circles in a USPS truck for 6 months.

Nothing to dislike, warm, comfortable & washes & dries beautifully.

i live in minnesota and am experiencing a beastly cold winter, as is standard for this part of the u.s. i read the reviews for these longjohns and was impressed with how many people said they were surprisingly warm. i was glad to be able to retire the old 'layer all your workout leggings under your jeans at once' method of insulating myself against the negative temperatures! but the thing is, this base layer isn't as toasty as i had expected. great for knocking around the house, great for pajamas, but they do very little once you trek out into the frozen tundra. i often come in from having a single cigarette--an activity that takes eight to ten minutes *tops*--and my legs are almost completely numb, and are red/blotchy from the cold even when it's only 30F. so, while these are comfy and do add a little warmth, overall i'd say they're not the best suited garment for intense prairie winter temperatures (which isn't what they're designed for anyway, to be fair; could have gone with one of the multi-layer types). they might do nicely once the weather gets up past the 40s in spring, though!

Great for warmth!

The one thing keeping this from having a 5 star is the crotch is too freaking long, baggy crazy! When will long john makers have some that are more low rise or have less bulky fabric in the crotch!?!?!?!?!? And some nice prints and colors would be nice but my biggest complaint with these and some of the other typical long johns is the baggy excessive crotch fabric. Otherwise, they keep me warm - which is the main purpose.To the manufacturer - check out what some of the other makers are doing... nice patterns, prints and colors - and making them low rise so they fit better under pants.

These are thin long underwear and will not be as warm as others made out of heavier material. That being said, for their weight they are very good. These are ideal for active cold weather pursuits, or for more sedentary pursuits in mildly cold weather. For just sitting on a bucket ice fishing, these did well for me under jeans with temps in the 20s (F). If it's 20 below and you're sitting still in such attire, you'll likely be unhappy. They do cling to things...If you have a light-colored dog they'll probably look like you wore them as an outer layer while brushing your pooch, even if you keep your pants on and never pick up the brush.

I like these because they are very comfortable. I like that they are thin yet keep my legs warm.

I was looking for a single layer long underwear too keep my legs warm under dress pants. These do the job without feeling bulky. They are comfortable enough to wear all day. After one month, they do not show any signs of wear. I am 6'-2" and the tall size was just right. Elastic cuffs at the ankles would be an improvement, but not too bad for the price.

I ordered medium tall, but despite the claim that tall sizes are 3" longer than regular, these are still a good 3" too short in the leg. As another reviewer noted, it is like they added 3 inches at the top, with too much between the waist and the crotch, so you either hike the waist up to get the crotch to sit right, but have bare ankles, or drop the waist and have covered ankles, but with the crotch way too low. I would return them, but it does not seem like there are better tall options, and I need these for an imminent trip. Disappointed.

Warm, doesn't trap sweat the way most polyester ones do, can't tell the difference from the more-expensive Platinum grade in warmth.
