Yoshihiro Natural Magnolia Wood Saya Cover Blade Protector for Santoku (180mm)7in

Beautiful saya! All the edges were finished well, and it perfectly fits my Miyabi 7” birchwood santoku (classic, not rocking santoku). I can see how the peg could be easy to lose—but if you just flip the saya over to push out the peg into a bowl (and maybe line with a small towel or kitchen rag so it doesn’t fly out), it’s nbd.The saya wood is quite light, true to magnolia. After a thin coat of food-safe mineral oil it’s roughly the same color as the birchwood handle (also oiled), just a touch creamier/paler. The red seal is a fainter red than I expected, more pale coral/pinkish-orange (vs. deep true crimson on the Miyabi handle accents/blade logo)…but still very handsome all together! Great function and aesthetics for a reasonably-priced saya.

Looks great and fit perfectly over my knife, would rate 5 stars but it didn't come with the black pin.

This fits the Victorinox granton Santoku like a glove.It may sound silly to buy this for such a cheap knife but it is much, much better and safer than the knifesafes from Victorinox. My Executive chef, holding a knife 4 times the price, was asking me questions about this saya for my humble knife. It is nice enough to make a good impression anywhere.

I got this saya for one of my japanese knife and it fit perfectly. I highly recommend it if you want to protect your knife from getting bang/toss around. it is a good investment!

Wrong size. Said to fit a 7 inch knife, but the guard was almost over 9 in long.

Yup, this does fit the Shun Santoku quite nicely. Not sure about others.
