Greener, Cheaper and more Reliable than Alkaline Batteries

These Eneloop NickelMetalHydride rechargeable AA and AAA batteries outperformed Alkalines in every category!1. Capacity of the Eneloop AA's is about 2X more than Alkalines (1900 mAhr for Eneloop AA's).2. Self-Discharge Life is better (several years).3. Can discharge at higher currents with less voltage drop: Under moderate to heavy load the voltage of the Eneloop is similar to 1.5V Alkalines (~1.3V for both). Voltage discharge curve is flatter than Alkalines (Alkalines discharge to well below 1.0V where most appliances stop functioning leaving 40% loss of total capacity). My experience is that most applications requiring AA or AAA batteries will work fine with the NiMH1.25V 'lower' voltage rating.4. Lower cost per use: Since they can be recharged hundreds of times, higher purchase cost is easily offset by much lower cost during the life of battery.5. Eneloop's are more reliable and do not leak! Alkaline batteries leak; particularly when deep discharged. The corrosive Alkaline electrolyte destroys the appliance contacts and circuit boards. Eneloop batteries also have Alkaline Electrolyte but do not leak (based upon experience with hundreds of batteries). Capacity of the Eneloop’s degrades slowly over hundreds of charge cycles.Use Advice:1. Don't drop the batteries! A drop to a hard surface may damage the battery internally with no obvious signs of exterior damage. A damaged battery may have lower capacity or may not hold a charge.2. Use the Panasonic 4Cell Charger! (BQ-CC17 Individual Cell Charger): Do not use series-cell chargers. For example, appliances which use 4 cells in series such as RadioControl Transmitters can charge the cells while still installed. Charging in series can damage batteries as cells inevitably become miss-matched resulting in overcharging damage. An alternative is a good single cell NickelMetalHydride Charger such as “Miboxer C4-12 Universal Smart Rechargeable Battery Charger Intelligent 4 Slot Output”.3. Allow the battery to cool to room temperature before charging or use.

Great Rechargeable Batteries

I've used these batteries before and they worked great and lasted some years so I expect the same from this order.

Best Rechargeable Batteries I have ever used

I have been slowly been purchasing these Eneloop Panasonic rechargeable batteries in AA and AAA to replace any other batteries as these little suckers stay charged a very long time and recharge fast with the Eneloop charger. These are literally worth their price and is one of those cases of you get what you pay for as these are exceptional batteries and I expect that is why they cost more than most other brands.

LONG LASTING RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES

This is an Excellent & the Best Rechargeable battery Panasonic NIMH to buy after doing my research. Do not buy Duracell rechargeable batteries because they only last about 2 days.I use the rechargeable batteries for my secondary home alarm system in the bedroom so without doing any research, I purchased the Duracell rechargeable & every two days the batteries lost the charge so I had to recharge again until it became so frustrating. When I google which is the best rechargeable batteries that last the longest, Panasonic Eneloop came up. And the batteries come already charged in the charger so it's ready to use. These are the best because it's been a week & the battery is still going strong & I haven't had to recharge them. The Best & long lasting.....

Winner and still champion: high price but good long term value

I have been buying rechargeable batteries since the late 70s. I'll tell you some things. Get a high quality charger.(I am using a 15 year old maha C 401fs. It now costs $44. A cheap charger will beat up your batteries and make your investment worthless. Look for individually controlled charging slots, - delta-v, temperature monitoring. I like to charge AA and AAA batteries at 500 ma. Slow charging means your batteries take more charging cycles.I see a "top review" that alleges these are "fraud batteries" because unused they drop to 1.3 volts. the opinion expressed in that review should carry little weight. It's important to remember that NIMH batteries might be chargeable to 1.5 volts but that is just "surface charge" and it will disappear with the smallest use or time. NIMH technology is rated at 1.2 volts. When you take a battery off charge and measure it immediately the voltage you are picking up the "surface charge" effect; that is the reason you can ever get a 1.5 volt measurement off nimh batteries but that's just "Surface charge" it does not represent useable power. Don't believe me? Then it's time to learn more about battery charging. I'd suggest your favorite search engine. If you use rechargeables the way I do you will spend a lot more than $4. a year on batteries so a good quality charger makes sense. 1. Candlepower forums does not sell batteries or chargers, but the folks there publish the best reviews, including technical details. 2. Eneloops whites are simply the longest lasting batteries available. Low self discharge (aka pre-charged nimh, aka LSD batteries should hold an 85% charge through a year of storage in reasonable conditions and these do. I have used them all from Eneloops to tenergy centuras to the old (no longer available) Harbor freight precharged to duracell precharged. I am lucky if any other brand takes half as many charges as eneloops. I use a 4 AAA moderately high discharge flashlight about 10 hours a week for work and that's a couple of charge cycles. Also my Oral B, and a grooming appliance are powered by AA's, along with the usual complement of low drainitems where I might use a lesser NIMH battery. I do think the price is high, but I buy white eneloops for high-use systems because they last. The black eneloops store more power but do self-discharge a bit more, and do not take as many cycles. Bottom line: bite the bullet on price, go quality and enjoy reliable, economical, low environmental burden batteries; Japanese eneloop whites are the best of breed.

Satisfactory

The battery appear to be very good....at this point I cannot say how long it would retain satisfactory performance since it's the first time in use...time would tell!
