Classic digital watch.
I bought this as I hadn't owned a digital watch since the '90's. It's a great digital watch with quite basic functions as expected. The face is nice and clear with no reflection problems with the acrylic crystal. The strap is surprisingly comfortable, very lightweight with plenty of holes to fit any wrist. Although due to the material and how the strap is connected I can hear a little creaking noise coming from that area occasionally when it's quiet, but if I just adjust how it's sitting the noise goes away. My daughter liked the watch and wanted me to buy her one so she got a transparent pink one as you can see from the photo. She's 12 and small at that and it fits her wrist just fine. Although I will say the strap on her watch is more plasticky than mine. Also I didn't buy the pink one from Amazon as I found it much cheaper elsewhere.I've had a few splashes on the watch whilst doing dishes and such with no issues whatsoever so the water resistance is fine. The watch hasn't picked up any scratches so far and I wear it daily, even to work.As far as functionality is concerned it has the watch (obviously), a light, an alarm, a stopwatch, day/date display, a chime function and an am/pm or 24 hour display. The alarm is quite quick and easy to set and double beeps every second for twenty seconds if it isn't cancelled. The chime function double beeps once on the hour every hour but can be turned off if you prefer; I have mine on as I quite like it. The stopwatch does what it should and can be paused and restarted but doesn't have a lap element so is limited in its usefulness. EDIT 30/11/24 - I recently discovered that if you press the light button whilst using the stopwatch that it does pause the stopwatch and displays the word "lap". Pressing the light button again takes you back to the stopwatch which has continued counting in the interim so it turns out the stopwatch does indeed have a lap function. You can set the day and the month but the watch only displays the day and date but not the month. I don't have a problem with this but some might. The light is pretty woeful; a small green light on the left that only really illuminates the left hand side of the display. You can read the full time in the dark with the light on but it's not easy. If you ever owned a digital watch in the '80's or '90's you'll probably be aware of what the light is like. There is a mod that can be done if you are so inclined to improve the light. If you search on YouTube for "Casio Module 593 (F91W) Backlight Spreader Mod Installation Tutorial", I may do this at some point. There is no timer function so if you need that I would look elsewhere. I use the alarm as a timer sometimes as like I said it's pretty easy and quick to set (if you hold down the select button for a second or two the numbers cycle faster). All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this watch to anyone looking for a cheap, reliable digital piece of nostalgia!

đ°ď¸ Casio F-91W: The Watch That Tells Time & Ruins Lives âąď¸
Ah, the Casio F-91W - a wristwatch so iconic it probably has its own LinkedIn profile. I bought this little digital masterpiece thinking, Itâs a watch; how much chaos could it cause? Turns out, a lot.Firstly, let's talk aesthetics. This thing looks like itâs straight out of a '90s sci-fi film where everyone wears neon jackets and trusts robots way too much. Lightweight, slim, and boasting a digital display that tells you the time, date, and even (because why not?) the day of the week. Thereâs a tiny, heroic LED light for reading the time in dark, questionable places - perfect for when youâre pretending not to check the time on a bad Tinder date. When it arrived, the unboxing was glorious. No frills, no fancy packaging - just Casio saying, "Here, take your life-altering timepiece and get on with it." Respect. I strapped it on, feeling like James Bond if he had a much lower gadget budget. Now, the first disaster struck during a job interview. I wanted to subtly check how long the hiring manager had been rambling about "synergistic paradigms." So I pressed the light button. BIG mistake. That LED beam is so bright itâs basically a distress signal to NASA. The whole room lit up like I was signalling for Batman. I didnât get the job, but at least I know the guy will never forget me.Then there was the gym incident. I set the daily alarm feature to remind me to leave after 45 minutes. Except, I accidentally hit the hourly chime mode. Cue a relentless beep every hour like it was announcing the apocalypse. Other gym-goers werenât amused, especially the guy lifting weights who almost dropped a dumbbell on my foot. I left quickly, dignity in tatters. But the real highlight was meeting the parents of a new girlfriend. We were having a lovely dinner until the alarm went off (again). Her dad asked, "Whatâs that noise?" I panicked and said, "Oh, itâs just my pacemaker." Let me tell youâlying about your heart condition on a first family meeting is not the power move you think it is.Even my dog found a way to mock me. One afternoon, I accidentally set the stopwatch function and couldnât figure out how to stop it. The relentless ticking noise confused the poor mutt so much that he barked at my wrist for 20 minutes straight. But despite all that chaos, Iâve never been late since getting this watch. Women love a punctual man. (Well, thatâs what I tell myself.) The rugged battery life? Practically eternal. Waterproof? Absolutelyâtested when I jumped into a pool out of sheer embarrassment after the gym fiasco. The only downside? The button sensitivity is so high that one accidental press will activate half the functions and possibly summon an alien mothership.Final verdict? Worth every penny. Whether you want to keep time or just ruin your social life with a relentless beeping soundtrack, this watch has got you covered.âââââ from this newly single, surprisingly punctual man. đ°ď¸đĽ

Smashed and fake
The media could not be loaded. Not only was I given a watch that was covered in scratches and smashed to pieces, I was given a fake of an already cheap watch. Casios are made in china, not Japan and they use higher screws. Even the video on the listing describes it on the back as âmade in chinaâ not Japan.
