Brilliant Doorbell!
Got this same day delivery on the Prime Day deal at half price (£74.99). At first I didn’t read the reviews before purchasing and after purchasing I read some and it made me feel like I may regret purchasing it as people have had numerous issues I was about to cancel but then thought I’d just take the chance, and I don’t regret it! Easy to set up, size is great, the look is good and is of a good quality, had it up and running in minutes so I would grab this whilst it’s half price no subscription service which is a bonus too!

Great!
Easy to install, works well, good video quality.Much better than my previous Ring doorbell as we don’t have to pay a subscription. The battery life is much better too as I’ve only needed to charge it once in 5 months.I’m able to look back through 30 days of footage so the storage capacity is fine for my use.

Might not work properly at first.
We got two of these. One for us and one for mum and dad. I’d seen very good reviews and was attracted by the fact there’s no monthly fees attached compared to Ring.Got the 2k door bell and chime combo. Appearance wise the doorbell looks great and good quality. Everything was easy to set up. I registered the chime first, as recommended by other buyers and then the door bell. All good. Then we found that on both sets of devices that everything worked perfectly except for the live view. When you tried to go into it, it just said camera couldn’t connect and it was a p2p error.I did some research and found that lots of people had this problem. I reported it through the app and was given some things to try. All done but didn’t solve the problem. I then noticed the door bell needed a software update but every time I tried to do it, it didn’t work.I then found that some people had managed to force an update by keeping the door bell active. So as a last resort before contacting Eufy direct, I started the update whilst walking around with door bell and bingo…the software update downloaded within a couple of minutes.Went round to my mums and did exactly the same thing and it worked first time. Now both doorbells are working perfectly and doing a great job.So apart from that little glitch I’m still glad I bought them. I found that some people had rung Eufy direct who had then helped with the software update. Other peoples just worked first time and in other cases Eufy sent a replacement. Yes it’s a bit annoying and they are not cheap but we got there in the end.Easy to fit outside with good guidance. The app isn’t entirely intuitive but once you learn where everything is then it’s a breeze. Then you just sit back and become entirely addicted to looking at the recordings of the post man, the gardener, the cat that walks by every morning at 2am…etc.I deducted 1 star for the bit off faff with the software update otherwise I’d have given it 5.

First it broke - then they tell me it's not compatible with my Android 14 phone
Bought this April 23. Worked fine for a bout a year, but then the warranty ran out.It stopped working if visitors/delivery people didn't press the bell push very firmly and hold it in till they hear it ring outside. If they just did a normal press nothing happened. They didn't hear it. We didn't hear it on the chime. Our phones didn't react to the bell push so didn't ring either. The two way talk only worked once about a month ago - and neither of us could clearly hear what the other person was saying - but somehow we managed with a bit of shoutingSo everyone thought we were out - when we were definitely in.After several emails back and forth to Anker, we weren't getting anywhere with any of their suggested fixes, but then one of the proposals stopped everything. The next proposal got the bell push working, but again only with a long heavy push, but the chime and our phones didn't ring any more.It was then suggested removing the bell push and chime from the app and re attaching them. Now nothing works. And you can't add the chime to the app - keeps failing. You can't add the bell push till the chime is added. Then noticed instead of trying to connect via wi-fi - even when only 2 inches from the top BT hub, it was trying to connect via bluetooth - and that was what failed every time.Wrote to Anker support again and they replied - "We are aware of some connectivity issues that may arise with certain Android versions, including Android 14. Our development team is actively working on a solution, and we appreciate your patience during this time. While we do not have a specific timeline for the resolution, we are committed to keeping our customers informed."There's nothing on any site selling this to tell you it's not compatible with Android 14.They offered me 20% off a new one from their site at the full RRP. Why would I do that - A. it's incompatible, and B. You can buy it on several sites at far better than 20% offBeen trying to avoid Ring as it needs a subscription. So may try the XTU or similar
