This phone was easy to set up and follow hands on actions. I love the BLOCK feature that allows you to block unwanted calls. Even those that hide their number. I never answer the phone unless I know who it is and for anyone not in my directory, or who doesn't have a number shown, I can block them. That alone was worth the cost from someone on the do not call list since day 1. The 40 dB volume option and even higher for the ringer makes this a great choice. It also has the flashing red lights as a visual option for calls. The larger handset with larger letters is more user friendly to read incoming call numbers even though the phone announces the caller. I like the white phone for a brighter look. Everything about this phone has been a significant improvement over my older, smaller, and darker phone. Great choice so far since you have different options you can set for the headset and the base.

In 2017 my grandmother was in her early 90's began needing to spend time in hospital in the hospital and assisted living center for complex health conditions she had most of her life but became more delicate as she grew more mature.One of the newer but not unexpectedly issues was hearing and visual impairments. One of the aids we needed was a phone she could use. Our family has been long time Panasonic Cordless phone users for a long time so this is the model we chose.Set up of this device is going to be something most visually impaired love ones are going to need assistance with as the direction booklet although detailed it really isn't printed for those with visual issues of any kind. You also need to be rather nimble while programming. Luckily Had two of us there to help Santa Claus with the set up of her gift.She really liked it and P.T. & O.T. helped her learn where the different buttons were. She really liked it and used it everyday several times a day while away. However we quickly learned that this device and another Panasonic Cordless phone device in the same household doesn't work together even if you have them in separate phone jacks. Not certain why this was exactly. ISo it spent a fair amount of time in it's box unused until mid 2018 when it saw daily use for a few years. Hard of hearing and visual cued phones sure have come along way since the 1970s when my grandfather needed these being hearing impaired from birth. There was a constant hum from those. As I recall having picked up his phone a few times. When there was no call connected. Verses this phone where there is no sound until dialing or ringing.We would highly recommend this product for others who are in need of this type of aid.

This has all the features I needed for my near blind almost deaf Mother-in-law.The ringer is very loud when adjusted to do so, and with the visual red-light flash along with the audible ringer, I don't see how she will miss a call.The base unit makes answering calls easy with the speaker phone function. One button to answer and the same button to end a call. With the three large "one button call" buttons, it is easy for her make calls to the people she needs to call quickly or calls frequently.The handsets are also great with several programable one button calling options, loud ringer and visual ringer and amplified sound. I encouraged her to carry it with her so if she falls or is somehow unable to get to a phone to call for help, it will be with her, similar to having one of those "button" things. (they come with a belt clip). The buttons are much larger than most all of the other systems I've seen. The only downside with the handsets is that the call blocking feature can be triggered accidentally. It is a "soft button" directly above the call end button, it got pressed sometime during a call and that caller was now blocked.I do like the call block feature with the exception I mentioned above and it also has a feature to block calls from "number not available" and "private caller" along with other options.We opted for three additional handsets and the system can handle up to six I think it was. They can be added as needed later on.There are lots of features on this system and reading the instruction book to understand all of them is highly recommended.Overall I am very happy with this phone system. The price seemed high compared to other systems, but it has all the functions we needed. I recommend this phone system.

I purchased this phone in January because I have moderate to severe hearing loss and had a hard time understanding people on a regular phone. When I first used it I still wasn't hearing conversations that well so I tried adjusting the tone to a higher pitch/tone with the Tone button on the side of the handset and that helped a GREAT deal. There are 6 settings/tones and the phone will stay at the tone you choose unless you need to adjust it while talking to someone. People with hearing loss lose the ability to hear the higher pitches/tones and these are needed to understand speech better. The clarity is good with this phone.Another good feature that helps a lot if needed is the Slow Talk button. It slows the speech of the caller just enough to understand better. I was quite surprised and delighted when I first used it. I haven't needed to use the Volume Booster button because the Volume buttons on the side of the handset are usually enough for me. Using the Speakerphone also is a good way to hear the caller louder.I love the Call Block feature. It really helps with the Robo calls. As well as blocking people's numbers you can block a series of numbers such just an area code, which I have done with great results, and you can block No Number/ No Name calls.The adjustments and features were not difficult at all and I am a senior.I like too that the phone announces the name of the caller. I am very grateful for a phone with these features.
