It took me 1 hour to do the installation, it is been working awesome, great upgrade to my chevy silverado 2003.

I used this to trap cats with a drop trap and 12 volt batter. It works very well and from a good distance. I have used it through wood doors and walls and also from inside a house. I haven't used it for its intended purpose on cars, but it activates the lock every time.

I have a 2002 Toyota Corolla with Manual locks and it was always pain to unlock the doors especially when you have people riding with you. Looked into getting something like this installed at a professional shop and they wanted $150 per door. So I figured for $30 bucks I'd give it a shot. It has been so worth it. Not super difficult to install if you are somewhat handy. Highly recommend.

The media could not be loaded. Installed on my 1972 Pontiac LeMans. Even works with the factory electric trunk release.Wired it into the signal lights and the daytime running lights I added. I included a wiring diagram I used, depending on your skill you may want someone qualified to do the install as not to damage your electrical system.I laid out in the wiring diagram how to get it to work with a relay to unlock the trunk including a picture of a standard relay I also found on Amazon for just a few dollars.Additional, in the door screenshot, I include the approximate mounting location and guides to help locate the opener your typical GM 1970-1972.As the LeMans only has two doors, I cut 2 of the 4 openers out that were on their own leads.

I was actually impressed with this kit during the install. I have a 2000 BMW Z3, it has wiring for central locking, but I bought the car used. I intended to use this kit with the existing locks. I was able to patch into the existing wiring fairly easily and everything was working great. The install only took about an hour.Buuuuut the unit stopped working after 4 days. I popped the box open and took a multimeter to the the contacts. It looks like the first relay died. I verified the relays are rated for 12v and that they were getting 12v, everything seemed fine. I'll probably try to fix it since the main board isn't super complicated.I can't recommend this kit since my relays died so quickly. Really unfortunate given how easily everything was to install.
