It'll do...not very sturdy but still value for money
I needed storage for DVDs as my collection had outgrown a small bookshelf. After much research, I opted for this cubed storage as its dimensions were fitting the intended space and number of DVDs.I could have purchased this slightly cheaper elsewhere but wanted to have Amazon's customer service in case anything was wrong for peace of mind.Delivery was a few days quicker than predicted, perhaps because the seller is close to my home town. It was nevertheless a positive surprise as I was keen to receive the item. The quality is to be expected given the price, the material cost and delivery cost might even exceed the sale price given the current times we live in. The wood is thin but all pieces were clean and scratch-free. No screws, nails or dowels were missing. All pieces were flat-packed quite well.I had to build this on my own, but doing this with a second person would have helped to secure the build a bit more, push pieces together a bit better. It is not overly difficult to build this as the instructions are clear and short (and repetitive), but you can see there are slight gaps between pieces as I wasn't able to push the parts properly together for fear of breaking the dowels: one dowel snapped easily in half, and there are no spares. As I didn't have any spares available nor wanted to wait to buy some, I used ordinary glue and some sellotape to fix it and insert it back into its space. The back panels could be left off if a see-through cube is desired, however they give the piece of furniture much more stability; otherwise it would be both wonky and wobbly so are therefore quite necessary. There are four back panels of the size of each column of cubes, however they didn't fully fit flush so had to compromise with one hanging slightly over the bottom right single cube (could probably be sawed off but I don't have those tools nor would I have fancied the hassle nor mess). This items suits my needs: the DVDs have a home, it was not very expensive to buy, it came quicker than anticipated, but it is not very stable as the material is cheap and thin.An IKEA Kallax storage would be and look much more substantial, but would also create a much more substantial hole in one's wallet so this item is a trade off. I'd still recommend it though if some cheap storage is needed quickly.

It's goof for the price
It's a well priced product, it's what you would expect from laminated mdf, need to be carful putting it together, but it's easy enough to build and does what it needs to do.

Poor furniture item
I must say this is the worst flat pack item I have purchased and built. I’ve built many many items over 32 years, and very handy. Firstly this item looks like it had been sent to someone and it has been returned as wooden dowels stuck in the pre drilled holes, and you can see where someone had previously put in the screw that had missed and split the wood and laminate (I have a picture of the box and items before unpacking). Secondly the stickers indicating what panel corrosponded to what part had fallen off, and finally the entire build just seems flimsily and wobbly. I’ve added extra screws and pink solvent seal and adhesive which makes it solid. The problem I have now is that it is built and whilst I have pictures of damage I am hoping the seller contacts me from this review. Poor furniture item !.

Flimsy
I wasn’t very impressed with the quality. The materials feel quite flimsy, and the whole unit seems pretty lightweight. I wouldn’t trust it to hold anything too heavy—books or other items.Aesthetically, it looks fine and does the job if you’re going for a simple, no-fuss look. However, the overall feel is definitely on the cheaper side. If you’re looking for something that both looks good and is sturdier, I’d suggest spending a bit more and going for a better option, like those from Habitat. It’s worth it if aesthetics and quality are important to you.Overall, while it might work for light storage, I’d recommend saving your money and investing in a better-quality piece if you want something more durable and stylish.
