Q: does this reflect on walls?

The more faceted a crystal then the more light enters & bounces around & the more colors are thrown out onto surfaces...walls, ceiling, etc. That's why when you're looking for that effect it's best to get a ball/sphere crystal with lots of faceted surfaces. Spheres work better than shapes like tear drops, ovals, discs, squares, elongated prisms, pendulums, etc. Just like with diamonds...the more facets the more sparkle.

Q: Does this pyramid have coloring in it, or is it totally clear and the colors come only if in sun or artificial light?

The pyramid i received was basically very clear and will produce colors when the sun hits it but i also bought a different pyramid by this company that produces extreme colors even without the sun hitting it.

Q: Could I adhere two of these together at the base so I could turn them into an octahedron? Ive been looking for something like this in that shape.

I suppose you could since the base is square, with a felt finish so you can possibly glue 2 individual ones together at their bases.

Q: What are the dimensions for the spherical cut-out on the bottom of the 4" pyramid? i want to find the right diameter sphere to fit below it. Thanks!

Well packaged, nice shelf decoration

This glass "crystal pyramid" doesn't cast rainbows, but it is a magnificent decorative item if that is what you are looking for. Bottom is felted so if you want to place the pyramid on a light base you might want to remove that. Otherwise, it's ready to set on a shelf and it looks very nice.

Beautiful colors

The crystal has beautiful colors. I kept moving it around to get the best sun effects. I am so pleased with it that I may buy more for gifts or just to keep for myself. It doesn't reflect all that well on walls, but the colors it does have makes up for that.
