This PSU tester is a fantastic tool for diagnosing power supply issues! The 24-pin connector is a snug fit, but it works perfectly once connected. The instructions included were thorough, written clearly in English, and made the process of plugging everything in straightforward. I really appreciated the beeps that let me know when it was ready for the 4p, 6p, and 8p connectors (didn’t try Molex or SATA, but I’m sure they’d work just as well). It helped me confirm a failed power supply—just keep in mind that the tester is powered by the 24-pin, so if the PSU is completely dead, the tester won’t light up. I tested it with a second PSU, and the device worked perfectly, showing accurate voltages. The only downside is that it didn’t include instructions for unplugging, but that’s minor and doesn’t affect its performance. Highly recommend this tool for anyone troubleshooting PC power issues!

It works. It requires no power source beyond the psu, and it can check most of the power cables. It does exactly what I need.

Works great and price is right

I have an older power supply tester that provides single LED indicators to verify the presence of the various voltages produced by a compute power supply. That provides a simple go/no-go test, but doesn’t give any idea how close the voltages are to the computer spec. This one is an obvious upgrade from the less capable testers of-old!It’s fairly easy to figure out without instructions, although an instruction sheet is provided. It’s awkwardly written or translated, though, making it a little hard to understand how a given instruction step is supposed to affect the output display.Testing is accomplished by first attaching the main 22/24 pin power supply connector to the tester and switching on the power supply. There’s an audible beep and the display shows the various voltage levels measured. After that, the other connector types are plugged in one by one to test the additional supply outputs.All of the connectors are keyed so that there’s no way to plug any of them in the wrong way. I was initially troubled by the SATA slot which didn’t have the traditional L to serve as a visual indication of which way to plug in the cable. But it turned out that it can only be inserted one way - the correct way.The large 22/24 pin rectangular main connector is a tight and requires a significant amount of force for both insertion and removal of the power supply cable. This requires you to hold the unit’s extruded case firmly with one hand while pushing on the connector with the other to make or break the connection. While doing this, I sustained a small cut on my thumb from the sharp corner of one of the connector openings cut into the case. Ouch! The accompanying photo I’ve uploaded shows my thumb next to the offending cutout. These openings should be rounded or demurred to prevent this from happening to users of the device.I’m generally pleased with the performance of the tester, but have deducted a star due to the minor injury incurred during its use.

The “paper clip” test (shorting power and ground pins on the ATX power connector) can’t verify that all other connectors are working properly.This little device helped me confirm a DOA motherboard and saved me a lot of hassle. It is well worth the money.

Works as it should. Since I'd accidentally mixed a cable in with a new, modular power supply, it fried an expensive optical drive. I removed the power supply and cables without first marking them (because manufacturers don't bother putting any type of mark on them to distinguish them from any other modular cable)... my mistake. Rather than trace the wiring to find the different cable, this was easier to verify that the voltages were on the correct lines with the power supply I was testing.

Exactly what I needed to test my multiple power supplies. Seems to do the job.
