I got this kettle as a gift for someone and they still say nice things about it!

The functionality of this has been amazing! I can set it on my phone to heat up in the am to make my tea. It also heats up super quick and is easy to use. I wish the temperature would go a little lower than 104” like 98 (sometimes I like my tea perfect to drink right away & body temp is perfect for me)

I'm leaving my original review for transparency, but wanted to update.The connection to google home has been fixed. It's very cool to be across the house and ask google to start your water boiling. The app is working too - I'll sometimes start the water while I'm out walking the dog so it's hot and ready by the time I get home.The kettle is still great - quick heat, very smooth and comfortable pour. If you do use them, the physical controls are easy to figure out but unobtrusive and sleek when it's not in use.With the smart features working now too I have no hesitations about giving this 5 stars and a full recommendation.__________Old review:The kettle itself gets 5 stars from me - easy to use, pours nicely, looks nice on the counter, gets the water hot.The app is fairly buggy. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.The Google home integration has a bad server configuration somewhere so you can't actually set it up. Based on the little forum section in the app this has been known for a while but no one running support actually understands the issue, or they possibly just don't have access to fix it.I'm not going to return it because I'm an optimistic fool, but I'm not going to give it 5 stars until I can use the advertised features that convinced me to buy it in the first place.

I'm giving this a four-star rating because it really is a good kettle except for the app. It was all I could do to stop myself from giving it a one-star rating because of the app.Pros:- Solid Build- Looks Great (IMHO)- Nice, Simple Physical Interface- Heats Up Quickly- Easy to Control the PourCons:- Custom Mode on the device only allows 5-degree (F) adjustments. Single degree adjustment is only available in the app. I could be wrong here, but I couldnt figure it out.- The app is a complete mess. I didnt have any issues with connecting as others have, but the rest of the app is borderline useless. I really hope that they work out the bugs (more below).Connectivity:My experience FWIW: The kettle can only connect to a 2ghz wif-fi network. If you have a dual band network, 2ghz & 5ghz, you'll have to disable the 5ghz band until you get the kettle connected. You can re-enable the 5ghz band after set-up.App bugs & Issues:- It seems like that just pushed the app out just to get it to market. Did anyone at a senior level in their company actually try the app with the kettle? Did they take it home and try a few brews? Did they try the delayed brewing function? If they did and they still approved the app, they should be demoted to the mail room. It's that bad.- Unintuitive all around.- Laggy, especially the hold temp button.- You can't stop the kettle unless you first turn off the hold temp function, but turning off the hold function is laggy and just doesn't work most of the time- Selecting the 205 degree preset actually sets the kettle to 200 degrees (not sure about the other presets)- The delayed start function is useless and beyond frustrating:--No matter what temp I select, it saves 104 degrees F. It can be edited, but there's a good chance that it won't be saved.--You can't delete a preset. The only thing you can do is unplug the kettle so that it doesn't turn on.--The preset can only be set in hours from now with 12hrs the max delay. That means that if I want to turn it on at 7am, I have to wait untl 7pm to do it and i have to be on time otherwise I'll have to wait a half an hour and set it for 11.5 hrs delay... Dumb- There's more but I'm tired of thinking about it. This kettle would be so great if the app just worked.

It was really good for a while and now it's pretty terrible. None of the smart functions actually work because it turns its own Wi-Fi off. Sometimes it turns itself off when I pick it up off the base and then put it back on the base, like when I'm making a cup of coffee. I will be replacing it soon with a different brand

I bought this so I could use it along with my French press. I wanted to be able to warm the water while I am getting ready for work, instead of having to go to the kitchen and starting a kettle on the stove. I set up the kettle, downloaded the app, connected the kettle to the app. The next morning as I'm getting ready, I opened the app and it said it was not connected to the kettle via Bluetooth, even though I was within range. I had to go into the kitchen and press the power button, then it connected to the app. I figured it was a onetime problem, but it continued for the week so, I returned it.

This product works perfectly tly with Alexa app and I just say to turn it on and it will do that 100% I love it but the one drawback for me is that it can only do one 16oz cup and one 8oz and barely at that which sucks... other than that this does heat up really fast like the first 30 seconds it gets to 200 degrees and needs another 30 seconds to finish the other 25 degrees well for the coffee setting.. pretty fast and i turn it on either with their personal app or with Alexa... I can say this is truly worth the $40 I pay for.. no regrets and will keep this.. I just hope it lasts but will update if anything happens or stops working.
