It only has three ingredients – flax, chia and sesame seeds. I frequently use all three, but it’s great to have them all together in one blend. I wouldn’t really call it a flour per se, as you can see the individual grains in it; they’re broken down but still identifiable. I actually prefer this to it being milled in a fine flour powder. It’s important with the flax especially that it be broken down somewhat, otherwise it can just pass right through your system undigested. This Superseed blend smells and tastes fresh and nutty. It’s produced in Canada and Argentina, and my jar has an expiration date of December 2026, over two and a half years out. It says to store it in a cool, dark place. It’s perfect for adding to oatmeal, smoothies, soups, salads, breads and muffins. They also have a delicious recipe on the listing for energy bites – 1 cup of this blend, ½ c of nut butter, ¼ c of honey, vanilla (or almond) extract and kosher salt to taste; mix well, form into balls and refrigerate. Yum. Really glad I ordered this.

The texture of the triple omega super seed flour seems more like grounded-up nuts than fine flour. It does have a nutty aroma but I didn't notice a nutty flavor compared to the nutty flavor of brown flax seeds when using it with my morning oatmeal. Using it with my morning oatmeal works out well, it smooths out my oatmeal flavor making it seem more wholesome and also thickens up the texture. Once my oatmeal was thickened up it seemed to have a semi-floury texture. I also tried the flour in raw form and it did have a pleasant nutty flavor. Overall, I feel the flour is of good quality and I'm curious to discover more recipes to use it with other than my morning oatmeal.
