Very good, the MagSafe is very strong. The case is not too bulky

I have come to trust the OtterBox brand, which has been around for a very long time, but their cases used to be bulky, favouring protection over looks. These days OtterBox offers several new sleek and stylish ranges which still provide good protection for your iPhone. The Apple store is an official stockist of these cases, which to me, seems a good sign they are top-quality.The Lumen range is my favourite of the bunch and this particular case, in Obsidian black, looks great. It is designed to fit tightly around your phone, but the outer lip is a little flexible and rubbery. This makes it easier to fit and remove compared to hard plastic shell cases. That elasticity will also provide greater drop protection as well, and this Lumen case has been officially tested to 2x military standards.The case design takes account of the height of your phone's camera lenses and has a raised lip around this area. The lip is not deep enough to entirely prevent you from damaging your lenses in extreme cases, but it is enough to stop them from rubbing on surfaces you place the phone on in everyday use.Style-wise, the Lumen case looks sleek and modern. It is mostly transparent with colour detailing (in this case black) on the sides (button covers), outer edge and the magnetic ring on the back, which aligns perfectly with your iPhone's Magsafe ring. This means you can attach Magsafe chargers and accessories to the back of the case and they will work perfectly.I think these OtterBox Lumen cases are quite expensive for what they are, but given the value of the phones they protect, I believe they are worth investing in. This is the only case I can think of which, in my opinion, doesn't spoil the look of a beautiful new iPhone.

This is the sort of fantastic case that commands a high price. It’s quality is very good and each part has the sort of shape and wear you’d expect at this price. And that’s the main thing here. The price.The fit is very snug and your phone won’t fly out of it if dropped. The raised edges keep it as safe as possible without getting it the way. It’s well cushioned with mag safe to make sure you’re getting the most from your phone. But these are all nothing new, just done very, very well.The case is a nice colour and I’d expect it not to yellow fast. They all do. Some slower than others. Grip is very good. There’s a trend here where it has anything and does it very well.That said, a lot of cases do most or all of this whilst being less costly. Though none are always so well rounded. This case gives you the very best of everything and that’s what you’d want on your new, expensive phone.It’s worth getting if you want the best protection and best feeling phone case out there.

As expected with Otterbox, this case provides strong protection with a soft touch TPU finish that has a nice marble effect.Even though the case is described as slim, I wouldn't call it super slim as the case has significant enough depth compared to super slim cases. However, this should offer strong protection.The MagSafe fuctionality is perfect and works fine with my docks and holder rings with strong magnetic adhesion.Overall would highly recommend

I had already taken iPhone case for my phone from OtterBox and really like the quality. Therefore when I saw this one I decided to get this one for my wife's iPhone 14 Pro Max. That was very keen to check the consistency of quality from OtterBox.The phone fitted inside the case perfectly well, with all cut outs for mic, charger in speakers aligned perfectly well. Buttons are functioning very well without any slacking, and they are very responsive. The cases is made from quality plastic which is quite sturdy and allows to absorb any shocks in case of accidental drops. Magsafe charger compatibility is just another bonus.This is just another example of quality from OtterBox, my wife is very happy with her new phone case.

OtterBox calls this part of their Series Lumen range according to the box (though it's not mentioned on this listing page).The plastic bumper-style case fits my iPhone 14 Pro Max perfectly. You have to push a bit for it to snap in, then it stays securely on.The back is a gradient from black at the bottom right to clear at the top. It's a funky visual effect that looks nice. By the way, "obsidian" just means "black.".It can attract fingerprints if you look very closely—but they wipe off.The current (26.11.2024) price of £20 is sensible, but I think that the regular price of £35 is high.Although the back is smooth, I use the raised surface around the camera system as a ledge for my index finger to stabilise the phone.📷 I will try to capture imagery at different angles to show how the case looks on a deep purple iPhone 14 Pro Max.
