Aniseed Gav 500ml 2 PK (2 Measuring Cups Free 30ml)

I was hesitant to buy this at first because it appeared to be a knock-off based on the picture of the label of this product called "Gav", but it's not. I was pleasantly surprised that it is an authentic Gaviscon product and at a much better price-point than the smaller bottles! Shake well before using because some separation may occur. Product is thick, like Elmer's glue and has an anise seed taste that is not awful, kind of nice, but mostly an acquired taste. But boy, this stuff works well! I have LPR and I take 2 teaspoons after breakfast, lunch, dinner, and before bed. It really helps against reflux and is keeping my stomach acid in my stomach, where it belongs, so my esophagus can heal. This is a great product!!!

My doctor suggested I try this for LPR (Silent Reflux), as my last course of Prilosec didn't work. I was hesitant about using this because the sodium content is quite high, but I'm only using 1 tsp. after meals and at bedtime. They suggest between 1 and 2 tsp. The chewable Gaviscon product works well also, so if you need to be on a low sodium diet, that one might be better, although it has aluminum. But then you're not supposed to be on either of these long-term. The chewables are easier to get locally. The Gaviscon Advance Suspension is only available from the UK.

I love this product. Safer than a systemic proton pump inhibitor and I lke the taste.

what a relief!! this stuff is the real deal. it's also pretty nasty if you hate anise, but 100% worth it. it's crazy that this isn't marketed to the US, because nothing else I've tried works as well.

I have been using this product for 3 years now.It was recommended by my gastroenterologist ARNP.I have Gerd and it works better than anything I have tried.
