Dorman 626-541 Engine Heater Hose Assembly Compatible with Select Ford/Lincoln Models (OE FIX)

I was having all of the same problems that I read about in the comments, and I hope this review saves someone some frustration.Watch a YouTube video before you startThermostat Side: When you remove the old T, check the thermostat side and make sure that the old O-ring and plastic O-ring retention fitting ring did not get stuck on the thermostat housing. Nothing should be left behind (you should see nothing but silver aluminum on the thermostat side). When I installed it the first time I thought that it was seated (it even made the click sound like it was locked in) correctly but when I went to pull on the T to verify I was able to pull it off, after inspecting everything I found that the O-ring and the plastic O-ring retainer was left on the thermostat.Upper Radiator Hose: The kit does not come with the replacement O-ring, you will 100% need to replace this O-ring, and is most likely the reason you are leaking coolant.Fitment: It's going to be a tight fit and when you are replacing with a plastic OEM T coolant can work as a lubricant. This however is an aluminum T and using some silicon (I used electrical connector silicon) as lubricant is going to be your best friend. Pull that hose off the T and lube it up and put the T back on the hose, you will need it to have some movement when installing. Once you get it on and connected to the block and thermostat the hose may not be seated correctly, if you lubed everything up really well you will be able to rotate the hose until it seats perfectly around the fitting.

Works so much better than the cheap plastic oem parts as this is fully metal and as expected another quality part from Dorman.

Perfect fit for 2014 F150 5.0. If you put it next to the OEM Y-Pipe it looks a little longer but nevertheless it fits just right and was an easy swap. No leaks. Comes with the necessary o-ring installed and new hose clamp.

Looks like a good replacement coolant hose wye for the 2013 F-150. The old ones were all plastic. This one has cast metal on the side that makes up to the thermostat housing. It may help the o-ring to be more stable. Order a new o-ring for the existing upper radiator coolant hose. The old one will be flat and hard.

For the negative reviews that have leaks, ITS THE O-RING not the Y pipe. Make sure you watch videos of how to install this pipe.O-Rings will play a crucial part to your coolant leak fix.Next, for the folks who are not happy about the hose length. If you look closely side by side at the OEM and Doraman pipes, they are actually the same length. Dorman pipe uses a traditional hose clamp on the Y pipe side, OEM doesn't. So the OEM version looks like it has a shorter hose length but it's doesn't.Last, installing this is not an easy job because of the brand new hose. The way I did it? LUBRICATE, LUBRICATE and LUBRICATE. Use silicone grease or coolant to make the hose slide in easier. Also I unscrewed the thermostat housing and installed that along with the Y pipe for a better fitment. This is not an easy task, but not impossible. Just need to finesse the parts together and boom, job done!

Like others said I have had great results with Dorman but this does not fit tight at all leaks. Went to replace orings and bought this because it was metal not plastic. Leaks. Going to get motor craft original now. And hose is to long. Hooked to brand new motorcraft hoses. Loose fitting compared to stock.

All over the internet you see this is a very common problem with this t pipe leaking I have a 2013 Ford F-150 with low miles and I don't want to go through this again. I plan on keeping my truck for a while seeing that new ones are outrageous but I don't want to go through fixing this again I think this part is cast aluminum and will last.
